Hollie Axel - Photographer Bio

I want to share the joy of photos with everyone, to capture those priceless moments. I find joy in knowing that my work has touched someone’s life; to know that they are looking at my work and treasuring it. I have enjoyed photography ever since I discovered the camera, and now have an Assiociate of Arts and Sciences Degree with an emphasis in photography.

To me, photography is about capturing a memory and a moment, cherishing every treasure and embracing the essence of life. I strive to find the beauty, strength, and radiance in my subjects; to freeze their personality in time, creating an image that shows deep down, who they really are. We wonder why Black and White photos capture our soul. I think it's because without color, we aren't drawn to the makeup, the color of our eyes or our hair, or how tan our skin is. Black and White captures the innocence and the vulnerability on one's face. The glow we see comes from the inside. Brightening our eyes, our skin, and our smile. It grabs the truth that liberates us.
